What can I expect from a Shen Yun performance?
Shen Yun is a large-scale theatrical production featuring classical Chinese dance, live orchestral music, elaborate traditional costumes, and animated digital backdrops. Each program typically presents about 20 short stories and scenes inspired by Chinese history, folklore, and culture. The orchestra combines Eastern instruments, such as the erhu and pipa, with Western symphonic instruments.

The performance runs approximately two hours, including one intermission. Actual timing may vary slightly, so allow extra time for arrival, entry, and departure.
Are opening acts part of the show?

What are the best seats at Dreyfoos Hall for Shen Yun?
For a balanced view of the choreography and digital scenery, consider a centered seat with a clear view of the full stage. Orchestra seating offers a closer perspective, while elevated seating can make it easier to take in the stage's formations and backdrops. The best choice depends on your budget and preferred viewing distance; review the seating map before selecting tickets.
Are there seats I should avoid?
Seats at the far sides or very close to the stage may provide a more angled view of the production, while seats farther back offer less detail in costumes and facial expressions. Sightlines can vary by section, so check the available seating information when choosing. No seat location can be guaranteed to suit every preference.
